Engage!

It was "Happy Birthday" night at Engage last Thursday.  We ate LOTS of cake and celebrated our amazing volunteer Leslie's special day!  We love you, Leslie!!!

L.O.V.E. at Community

We were so blessed this Sunday at Community to have Jake (one of our Eastern student interns) and his girlfriend Mackenzie share their story and wisdom about what a Christ-centered dating relationship can look like! 

They shared four aspects of a relationship that honors God:
Looking to Christ as the main goal of your lives and your relationship
Openness and honesty in communication
Validate and encourage each other instead of tearing down

and striving for Excellence in purity and the way you honor God through your relationship

This was week two of our 2014 Dating and Relationships series and we can't wait for week three next Sunday!

Spring is HERE!

We LOVED being able to hang out and play games outside at Connect this Sunday! 7th & 8th graders also got to hear from Tim as he continued the "God is Like" series with "God is like a Servant".  Tim talked about (and showed us!) how we can learn to imitate God by serving people.

Community Rocks!

Almost 50 students showed up for Community this Sunday night!  We played games and cooked some yummy rice krispie treats for the first hour and then during the second hour heard from the PHENOMENAL James Wilson, Jr. from RealEd and Amnion Crisis Pregnancy Center.  James was passionate and transparent as he gave us a good dose of the truth about sex and relationships!
